In the past five years since I co-founded EduHaitian, we have invested over £100,000 into the Haitian community enabling fifty young Haitian’s to not only return to school, but to stay there - when the fees are payed, the students are able to move faster.

In the spring of 2016 the CEO of EduHaitian, Olivia Owen and the Chair of the Board, Rebecca Swist, visited Port-au-Prince in Haiti to meet with the pupils benefitting from the education scholarships EduHaitian provides. Whilst they were met with enthusiasm and positivity from nearly everyone, there was one small group that was struggling to have a smile on their faces. Darline R, Olgine, and Darline JC, three young women who had started university after finishing school, faced an uncertain future
